Why Developers and all IT professionals need to start meditating ASAP!! [2021]

 




IT professionals are among the many peoples who need to stare at their computer/laptop screen
for almost 9 to 10 hours a day and many a time more.

Those hours are without a doubt not easy on their eyes no matter what type of screen they use
or lenses they opt to use while working.




There are few exercises that they can use to bring down the strains caused to their eyes which I will state down below which are quite easy and effective too (scroll to last part of the blog, if you need to know it right now)

But in the long run, you need something more than a short exercise that will help you in your day-to day life.

Here are the 4 reasons developers need to meditate ASAP!!


1. MIND EXERCISE:-

   
Developers are the one's who are required to be quick on their logical thinking,
Problem-solving skills.
   
Also, prolong requirement of attention is needed on their job which proves to be quite stressful for
on their body and mind.
   
Thus a few moments spent doing some mindfulness is one of the ways to reduce stress.
   
Plus it helps to get your mind clear and thus helping in thinking about creative solutions to
unusual problems which they encounter on the daily basis.
  
   
2. ATTENTION BOOST:-


As many of the jobs which are done over computer system have a tendency to last for hours a day
and the person doing it requires a constant attention span often feel dizzy or nauseous and
tired because of it.
   
Meditation can  not only help to solve such problem which arises due to the stress but it also
helps with an increase in attention span and is scientifically proven too.
   

3. REDUCED ANXIETY:-




Many a time switching through different tabs and screen induces a type of anxiety at least I have
felt it and it gets me anxious and unable to give my 100%.
   
10 minutes or even less of a breathing exercise works for me at this time and quite certain it 
happens with most of the developers out there or some variation of anxiousness.
   
If you feel or experience something like this it's probably nothing much to worry about until
the intensity is below mild and some mindfulness activity will get you through it.
   
But it keeps on persisting and intensifying then do have it looked up by a medical professional
for being on the safer side.

   
4. INSTANT REBOOT:-




Meditation is known to refresh your brain instantly and if done right you will be recharged
with the positive energy flow and it can be felt all along your day.
   
Especially developers get sluggish after solving a bug  or error and switching to the next
task instantly makes you less effective unless you are a super developer or MR ROBOT.
   
a quick mindfulness exercise goes a long way and helps you to become more efficient in your
tasks and more creative and productive too.

And a quick exercise that I promised in the start to get refreshed while working on the Systems.




Look out of the window towards some greenery like trees grass etc every 20 minutes.
